WordPress website development services and support

We can help you to build  a new website in WordPress, as well as to work on the site you already have. Whether you need a new site from scratch, a refresh of something that's looking tired, a new theme, ongoing development, or help with the updates you've been putting off,  if it involves WordPress, it's something we do.

New sites

We've built every kind of site, from simple brochure sites that do their job in a handful of pages through to complex builds running into thousands of pages, with ecommerce, booking systems, CRM integrations and whatever custom functionality your business actually needs. We don't have a minimum project size, and we're also happy to get stuck into a big build.

Work on the site you've already got

You don't need to start from scratch to make a real difference. If you've got a WordPress site that needs some attention, we can help you. Websites date over time. Sometime what you need is a  new design, a fresh theme, or a general refresh to bring a site back up to date. Perhaps you've got a wish list of things you've always wanted to do but have never got round to doing, or there are updates you've been nervous to touch in case something breaks. We'll do the work you don't want to do yourself, or don't have the time for.

You work directly with us

We don't outsource to third party coders. If we take on your project then you'll be working with one of the three of us that you see on this site throughout the project.  There's no account manager sitting between you and the person who does the work, and no brief passed down a chain that loses something on the way. You'll be talking to the person actually doing the job, from the first conversation to the day it goes live.

Built for you, not churned out

A lot of companies that call themselves WordPress developers aren't really building anything. They run every client through the same handful of predefined templates, swap the logo and the colours and call it a day. We don't work that way. We can build from a design you already have, or sit down with you and work one out, so what you get looks and behaves like your business rather than a template with your name dropped into it.

You'll have seen the pitch for getting AI to "vibe code" you a website in an afternoon. It can look impressive in a demo. The trouble shows up later, when you need to change something, or it breaks, or a security issue gets flagged, and nobody, including you, really understands how it was put together or how to fix it. A website isn't a one off. It's something you have to keep running for years. We build sites we can explain, maintain and hand back to you, so when you need it changed there's a real person who knows exactly how it works and why.

We'll train you to manage the site yourself

Plenty of developers like to hold onto the work, and the knowledge, for themselves. It keeps you coming back. We're primarily a training company so wherever we can, we'll teach you to do as much as possible yourself. We can sit beside you and help you build something with your own hands, or when we hand a finished site over we can put together tailored training so you know how to run it, and you're not coming back to us every time you want to swap a photo or add a page.

There's also more to us than code. Between us we've got years of experience in SEO and every other part of digital marketing, so your site gets built with search, compliance, GDPR and the rest baked in from the start rather than bolted on later or missed altogether. That tends to be what happens when a development agency only does development, and it's usually you who finds out the hard way.

There's usually a way

Your website doesn't just sit on its own - it might integrate with other systems, your CRM system, your accounts system, other databases, your social media sites. Steve has spent years working across WordPress and pretty much every other web technology going. So when you want your site to do something that sounds complicated or to talk to a third party system, the answer is rarely "you can't". It's more likely "here's how we'll do it". That depth of experience is what lets us take on the tricky builds as happily as the straightforward ones.

We keep it manageable

We don't take on more site builds than we can handle, and that's deliberate. It means your project gets proper attention rather than sitting in a queue behind ten others. It means when you need us, we're there. Being responsive isn't a line we put on a page and forget about, it's just how we work, because we're small enough to actually mean it.

Let's talk

If you've got a site in mind, or one that's giving you grief, we'd love to hear from you.
